“Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others … they too have their story.”
—Max Ehrmann, Desiderata

The Growth Institute is working to expand access to compassionate mental and physical healthcare while preparing more professionals to serve in Indiana. We connect education, supervised clinical training, and community care so that people can find support—and more providers can build their futures here.

People bring more than symptoms to care. They bring relationships, responsibilities, beliefs, losses, and hopes for their lives. We believe that understanding begins with listening, and that effective care respects the whole person.

This belief guides the Institute’s work: making room for people to be heard, preparing professionals to serve with competence and humility, and building a community where seeking support is met with respect.

Every person has a story

Healthcare within reach

Finding help can be difficult when cost, distance, long waits, or confusing systems stand in the way. The Growth Institute is developing direct physical and mental healthcare programs and partnerships to help address these barriers, with particular attention to people whose needs are going unmet.

Our goal is to connect individuals and families with appropriate assessment, treatment, and ongoing support through qualified professionals and carefully supervised clinical training. As programs develop, we will share clear information about available services, eligibility, costs, and how to seek care.

Be gentle with yourself

“Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.”
—Max Ehrmann, Desiderata

You do not need to have everything figured out before asking for support. Your experiences deserve attention, and your questions deserve thoughtful answers.

We are building an Institute where that respect shapes both the care people receive and the way future professionals learn to provide it.

A Shared Structure for Regional Collaboration

The Growth Institute will serve as an independent nonprofit convener and steward, bringing together organizations that currently educate, train, employ, and serve residents through separate systems.

Its work will include:

• Coordinating a regional clinical training consortium
• Expanding practicum, internship, rotation, and residency opportunities
• Developing qualified supervisors, faculty, and preceptors
• Supporting interprofessional education and team-based care
• Connecting trainees with regional employers
• Pairing supervised training with documented community needs
• Strengthening referral, navigation, and continuity across systems
• Measuring workforce retention, training quality, and community impact

The Institute will complement existing universities, providers, and employers—not replace them.
